THE FACE AND THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE LAST HUMAN KING

“And in the final part of their kingdom, as the transgressors act to a completion, a fierce-looking king who understands ambiguous sayings will stand up”

(Daniel 8:23)

The particularity of the prophecy of Daniel chapter 8 is that it describes the succession of world powers by designating two kings who have marked the History: Three hundred years before its advent, it announced the arrival of Alexander the Great, who Hellenized the world (8: 8,21). And this Hellenization has an impact until today by what is designated (by historians) as late antiquity "Greco-Roman". This same prophecy announced (indirectly) that none of the sons of Alexander the Great would inherit his kingdom, but would be divided in four parts (Daniel 8: 8,22). And indeed, after the premature death at 32 years (broken horn) of Alexander the Great, the kingdom has been divided among four of his generals. However, the particularity of the prophecy of Daniel chapter 8, is that it describes the face and the general behavior of the last king of the last world power, coming from this Hellenistic world power, who will face the Heavenly King during the Great Tribulation to come.

In Daniel 8: 9-12, the prophecy makes the enigmatic description of this king who would appear in the last days before the Great Tribulation. However, the most interesting is the explanation given by the angel of Jehovah regarding this last "king": “And in the final part of their kingdom, as the transgressors act to a completion, a fierce-looking king who understands ambiguous sayings will stand up. His power will become great, but not through his own power. He will bring ruin in an extraordinary way, and he will be successful and act effectively. He will bring mighty ones to ruin, also the people made up of the holy ones. And by his cunning he will use deception to succeed; and in his heart he will exalt himself; and during a time of security he will bring many to ruin. He will even stand up against the Prince of princes, but he will be broken without human hand” (Daniel 8:23-25).

The last current world power is the United States of America whose last "king" is President Trump.

The expression in the New World Translation of the Bible according “fierce-looking face”, “fierce” comes from the transliterated Hebrew word ‘az.

And according the Strong’s Concordance (H5794), The Biblical usage (of ‘az) is “strong, vehement, harsh” and the King James Version Translates as “fierce, greedy, mighty, power, roughly, strong”. The Word Origin (Etymology) of ‘âzaz : The Biblical Usage : “to be stout” (literally or figuratively). King James Version Translates as "harden, impudent, prevail, strengthen (self), be strong".

We can see two groups of translations of the Hebrew word (‘az) :

The first group of translations took the literal sense of ‘az, according the Strong’s Concordance: “strong, vehement, harsh”: And in that meaning’s translation we have, among the biblical translations in English (above):

“fierce-looking, fierce, fierce features, stern, dangerous, cruel, angry, hard-faced, scary-looking, unyielding countenance”.

The second group of translations took more into account the etymology of the Hebrew word ‘az (‘âzaz): “to be stout (in the figurative sense)”. There are others expressions in connection with this general meaning: “impudent”: “Insolent, arrogant, bold, stubborn, impudent, rash, very proud, unshame”.

And there is a little third group of translators who took both sense of the Hebrew word “az” and "‘âzaz": “bold and cruel [fierce/stern-faced] king” (Expanded Bible (EXB) ; NCV), “a bold and cruel” (International Children’s Bible (ICB)). The purpose of these Bible’s translations seems to give an “expanding” understanding of the Hebrew word "‘az" connected with "‘âzaz". These two biblical translations allow to having a detailed idea of the prophetic description of the face of the last human king.

“expert in riddles and ruses” (The Voice (VOICE))

“understanding propositions, either reasons set forth” (Wycliffe Bible (WYC))

“understanding hidden things” (Young's Literal Translation (YLT))

In these more than 40 translations of the Bible, there are, two main groups of tendencies:

The first group has made a literal translation of the Hebrew Word (transliterated) “chîydâh”: this king can understand, ambiguous sayings, dark sentences, riddles, mysterious things, enigmas. Effectively according the Hebrew’s Strong Dictionary, the Hebrew word means: a puzzle, a conundrum, sententious maxim ((transliterated)’s definition of “chîydâh”).

The second group of biblical translations of Daniel 8:23 is more figurative, “interpretative”: skilled in intrigue and cunning, trickery and craftiness, deception, intrigue, understanding the riddles, sentences maxim (“chîydâh”), as "a trick”, master of intrigue, someone who has insight in hid situations (according the Strong Dictionary).

Also, two French translations of the Bible, from the Hebrew text, wrote this description “expert into the guiles” (versé dans les ruses (traduction juive de Samuel Cahen, 1831)), “expert in tricks” (expert en astuces (Traduction du rabbinat (Zadoc Kahn, 1902). In that case, these Jewish translations, translate the Hebrew word “chîydâh” by the french words (translated in English) “guiles, tricks”.

So, the general looking-face and behavior are: An impudent, arrogant and fierce-looking king who is at the same time expert in tricks (Daniel 8:23. Bible). Is this general description of this special last king in harmony with the direct context of the prophecy of Daniel? Yes, it is. For example en Daniel 7:20, according the big horn (king of the United States of America), it is written that he has “a mouth speaking arrogantly”. The same great aspect of this Last King, he is an arrogant king.

In fact, this prophecy of Daniel 8:23-25 is very special, because, it is describing the very specific last king, who will “stand up against the Prince of princes” by means, probably, directly to attack the Heavenly Holy Ones in his territory of the United States of America:

“And in the final part of their kingdom, as the transgressors act to a completion, a fierce-looking king who understands ambiguous sayings will stand up. 24 His power will become great, but not through his own power. He will bring ruin in an extraordinary way, and he will be successful and act effectively. He will bring mighty ones to ruin, also the people made up of the holy ones. 25 And by his cunning he will use deception to succeed; and in his heart he will exalt himself; and during a time of security he will bring many to ruin. He will even stand up against the Prince of princes, but he will be broken without human hand” (Daniel 8:23-25).

This prophetic description of Daniel 8:23, is giving the very detailed description of the face of the last king of United States of America: Mister Donald Trump.

The prophecy of Daniel 8:23 seems to tell us : “Give attention to the very special face of this king”, “Give attention to the very special expression of arrogance and sometimes hard-faced facial features”. The face of Mister Donald Trump has an extraordinary diversity of facial expressions. It is very amazing… (Compare with Daniel 7:20 “a mouth speaking arrogantly”). And I made the link with Daniel 8:23 (7:20), as if Jehovah God was telling me: “It is this man”)...

What is the world power nation of this "king"?

It is a “king” of the world power in place at the time just before the Great Tribulation. A world power prophetically described in the prophecy of Daniel chapter 7:8,20 as “a small one, came up among them, and three of the first horns were plucked up from before it. And look! there were eyes like human eyes in this horn, and there was a mouth speaking arrogantly. (…) the horn that had eyes and a mouth speaking arrogantly and whose appearance was bigger than that of the others” (Daniel 7:8,20). It is a “horn” described as an “arrogant” world power.

In the prophecy of Revelation chapter 13, this world power is described as “wild beast” with the title of “false prophet”, making his religious worldwide propaganda and governing over the others worldwide powers: “Then I saw another wild beast ascending out of the earth, and it had two horns like a lamb, but it began speaking like a dragon. 12 It exercises all the authority of the first wild beast in its sight. And it makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first wild beast, whose mortal wound was healed. 13 And it performs great signs, even making fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the sight of mankind” (Revelation 13:11-13 you can read verses 14,15).

IT IS THE WORLD POWER OF UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
